12.) Truth

This song is about someone finding God by relying on Him through their tribulations, and learning to tell others about Him.

Intro

Verse 1:
Am I alone in this tragedy within myself?
Am I awake or am I dreaming?
If You're right there can You show me that You really care?
If You're alive then can You see me?

I need You now so won't You came and take Your place?
I want You near, right here by my side
I confess this time that the problem all along was me
And I can't help but wonder why?

Chorus:
Will You tell me how I'll find a way out of this
Mess that I've made and make right all my mistakes
And I'll give You now my solemn vow
Then I'll tell You the truth

Verse 2:
Can You save me now or have I wandered off too far?
Can You pull me back or am I out of reach?
And I wonder if the things that I have done this time
Are too hard for You to free

Then I see Your face coming closer to assure me now
That everything is going to be okay
You've forgiven me and I'll try my best to do the same
Yes I'll try hard to show the way

Chorus (2x):
Will You tell me how I'll find a way out of this
Mess that I've made and make right all my mistakes
And I'll give You now my solemn vow
Then I'll tell You the truth

Bridge:
You've shown me how I can escape
And told me ways I can help others like me
So I'm thankful for the things that You've done
And the battles You've won these nights and days

Chorus (3x):
Will You tell me how I'll find a way out of this
Mess that I've made and make right all my mistakes
And I'll give You now my solemn vow
Then I'll tell You the truth

Bridge:
You've shown me how I can escape
And told me ways I can help others like me
So I'm thankful for the things that You've done
And the battles You've won these nights and days

11.) Desperation

This song is about someone who was trying to fill their life with things other than God, wondering why they were unhappy, then finding Him.

Intro

Verse 1:
These days and nights that last forever
Leave pain inside my heart and mind
I can't decide, but time is harder, and You seem farther
Tonight

Pre-Chorus 1:
Look!  Take a look inside of me
But don't tell me what you see
I know how hard it is to be
The same

Chorus:
I've tried my best to find a way
That only You knew, could You just make it true?
So I'll just keep fighting through each day
To bring me back to You

Verse 2:
I want to find my sole desire
That burns like fire inside

Pre-Chorus 2:
So I'll seek!  Seek as far as I can see
So my soul can then be freed
And I won't be left to bleed
Alone

Chorus:
I've tried my best to find a way
That only You knew, could You just make it true?
So I'll just keep fighting through each day
To bring me back to You

Bridge:
Now I know I can't escape Your love, and it's not enough
I've tried but failed and come to You my God, 'cause You are the One
I love

Chorus (2x):
I've tried my best to find a way
That only You knew, could You just make it true?
So I'll just keep fighting through each day
To bring me back to You

10.) Start Living

This song, also written by Jeremiah, is about someone who needs help in their life.  Christians help, and bring the person to God.

Breaking the rules with all of the tools
That you've been given
From what you've seen and been
(and been, and been, and been)

Post-Verse:
Will this last any longer?
Your conscience is growing stronger
When will you stop this
And leave behind this crisis

Pre-Chorus:
You continue to fight
Listen to me tonight
You do not have to stay the same
Listen please to me today

Chorus (2x):
We know you need help
You're not by yourself
We are here for you
And God is too
The One who's so forgiving
Now you can truly start living

Verse 2:
You don't have to fight
Just follow His light
Stay honest and true
And love Him as He loved You

Post-Verse:
Will this last any longer?
Your conscience is growing stronger
When will you stop this
And leave behind this crisis

Pre-Chorus:
You continue to fight
Listen to me tonight
You do not have to stay unchanged
Listen please to me today

9.) Always

Vesper's bassist, Jeremiah, wrote the lyrics to this song telling about his feelings when he moved from North Carolina to Ohio to start a new church.

Intro

Verse 1:
Just like old times
Feels like a rewind
I don't want to leave
Feeling so lost in my grief
I love this place
And I want to see these faces
I want to be here tonight
For now and for the rest of my life

Pre-Chorus:
I wish it were always like this
Nothing left to reminisce
I just want to stay here
Leaving will only bring tears

Chorus:
I don't want something new
I loved being with you
I don't want this to end
There's somewhere else to live again
Staying here isn't what I'm called to do
Please know I'll always miss you
I know I'll always miss you
And I'll always remember you

Verse 2:
Going back home
Not having to roam
Back to where we started
Before we departed
How
Can I possibly leave you now?
It's breaking my heart
To be so far apart

Pre-Chorus:
I wish it were always like this
Nothing left to reminisce
I just want to stay here
Leaving will only bring tears

Chorus:
I don't want something new
I loved being with you
I don't want this to end
There's somewhere else to live again
Staying here isn't what I'm called to do
Please know I'll always miss you
I know I'll always miss you
And I'll always remember you

Bridge:
I don't understand
But I'm following His command
I'm leaving behind these steeples
And all of these beautiful people
We'll have to restart
So very far apart
May all your lives be blessed
Maybe this is for the best

Chorus:
I don't want something new
I loved being with you
I don't want this to end
There's somewhere else to live again
Staying here isn't what I'm called to do
Please know I'll always miss you
I know I'll always miss you
And I'll always remember you

8.) Nightmare

This song is about the orphans in the world that haven't yet been adopted.

You caught a glimpse of this long worn road
And saw nothing but darkness again and within
You heard a voice and now you know
There's always a place you can never go

Pre-Chorus 1:
Now there's nowhere for you to turn

Chorus:
When you don't have what you
Need to see how you can
Dream my friend
This was your dark nightmare
No one around to tell you
How you can find your way
Out again
This was your own nightmare

The one who had always been holding on to you

7.) Speak To Me

In this song, a person asks God for help in their life.  God answers, but they ignore it as it's not the answer they wanted to hear

Verse 1:
God give me a sense of direction
Narrow it down to the core of perfection
Lead me to where You may need me to be
Just tell me now and I'll find my way out

Chorus:
I've closed my eyes but it doesn't seem to be so clear (even though You're near)
You've said the words but I can no longer seem to hear (the words I need)
For all the times I have denied and
Thought You weren't for me

Verse 2:
Where are You now have You left me?
Alone in the shadows away from my family
I'm pleading for You to come rescue
Me from this dark undesirable heart to a whole new start

Chorus:
I've closed my eyes but it doesn't seem to be so clear (even though You're near)
You've said the words but I can no longer seem to hear (the words I need)
For all the times I have denied and
Thought You weren't for me

Bridge:
Speak to me
Are You listening to me?
I am, I am, and always have been
Hear me
Are You right there beside me?
I am, yes I am, can't you reach me?
Won't You be there for me
And I'll be with You

Verse 3:
I've found You right there where I left You
Won't You come take my hand, so I can just take a stand?

Chorus:
I've closed my eyes but it doesn't seem to be so clear (even though You're near)
You've said the words but I can no longer seem to hear (the words I need)

Tag:
For all the times I have denied and
Every time I haven't tried and
All the times I have denied
And thought You weren't for me

Outro

6.) Break The Silence

Verse 1:
They're coming closer to hear the words you're trying to say
But they don't want to believe, they want to send you away
There waiting for you to see the ways they want to accept
They're telling you to be free and for your tongue to repress

Chorus:
Don't let them take it from you
Don't stop trying to do what you do
Speak the way you always used to
But say it louder, say it prouder
Nobody here could ever
Stop you from your endeavor
Move or you'll stay forever
Break the silence, with no guidance

Verse 2:
The people standing beside, the ones who want to impress
They start wondering why and think like all the rest
But you're the one who's okay and different from those who doubt
You've never wandered away and never stopped so don't now

Chorus:
Don't let them take it from you
Don't stop trying to do what you do
Speak the way you always used to
But say it louder, say it prouder
Nobody here could ever
Stop you from your endeavor
Move or you'll stay forever
Break the silence, with no guidance

Bridge:
Raise your hands and believe now
Take a stand and be free now
'Cause no one can take it away

Chorus (2x):
Don't let them take it from you
Don't stop trying to do what you do
Speak the way you always used to
But say it louder, say it prouder
Nobody here could ever
Stop you from your endeavor
Move or you'll stay forever
Break the silence, with no guidance
